New fic excerpt

So, I've mentioned I've been into Harry Potter lately. I've been working on a couple fics- which center around Ginny as she is my favorite- and finally decided to post a short excerpt from one of them. I think this fic will most likely be called Ginny's Awakening. It won't be a long one at all. Enjoy.


Hermione dropped the book on Ginny’s bed before scurrying after the boys as they left to go talk about things that Ginny obviously wasn’t important enough to be informed of. With nothing better to do, Ginny picked up the book and began flipping through it.

She would never forget the images and words that assaulted her. She knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that she would never be able to think of muggles the same way again. Her father, the advocate of all things muggle had never told her about this. Muggle studies certainly never taught it. And Dumbledore, when he made speeches about unity, never told them to unite against muggles. No, it was quite the opposite.

Tom had shown her a lot in the time she spent with him in her first year. Most of it was bad. She had nightmares for months afterward. But nothing, nothing she had ever seen in her life compared to what she was looking at.

In her hands was a book on the second muggle World War. With pictures, timelines, descriptions and more horrific details than she could imagine.

And they called Death Eaters dark?

Happy Holidays and a little update

Hello all! I hope everyone had a great Christmas or if you don't celebrate it, just a great Saturday.

One of my NYR's is to write more. So hopefully you'll see more things from me in 2011 than you did in 2010. I'm thinking of changing blogs. I miss going by my ff name. So we shall see.


I have a Tumblr account now and I'm trying to get the hang of that. We'll see.

Oh, my darling muse, how you've come back!

My muse is back.

After taking a very, very long vacation, he's been dropping by for a quick visit here and there. And so, I've spent the last year working on a fic. Well, a couple fics. Not a dozen, but just a few. But one is at the front of the line.

Somehow, after spending an entire year working primarily on one fic, I've managed to not complete a single chapter. But there is good news! I have an outline made. Yes, an outline. Something I don't think I've ever done in such detail for a single story. Ever.

I also have snippets and cookies completed. The outline is not complete yet. I've been doing quite a bit of research for this fic. I've been dreaming of it, thinking of it, planning for it.

It's an AU Harry Potter fic that centers heavily on Ginny. It also has loads and loads of yummy Theo Nott. Le sigh. And that's all you're getting out of me.

I hope to complete the outline and have several chapters written by January, when I hope to start posting. Hopefully.

And now, I must go downstairs and finish making potato skins for the costume party I'm taking my children to.
